The WISE Pillow Wind UP (WCDS: Automatic Wind-up, Cut-off and Doffing) machine is an economical way to convey, cut to length and wind high loft batting. It is proven, durable design which provides our customers with lowered labor cost, less maintenance down-time and a consistent, higher quality end product.

Material is conveyed from the lapper floor apron and cut to length by a set of cut-off rolls or optional hot wire. The batting is then wound and automatically doffed from the machine by an air cylinder actuated apron. The wound batt may be doffed onto a cart, indexing conveyor or may also be used in conjunction with a WISE Pillow Stuffer. The Wind-up / Pillow Stuffer combination will enable you to doff directly on to the stuffer's conveyor and into a pillow tick to produce various size pillows. In its basic configuration it can wind batts up to 24" diameter and 60" in width. Additional WCDS models can wind batts up to 48" diameter and up to 144" in width.

The WISE Pillow Wind UP is constructed of 3/8" thick, laser cut, steel side plates and heavy steel channel legs. The main drive is via a variable speed DC motor and gearbox combination, optional AC inverter or mechanically variable speed AC drive motor. The WISE Pillow Wind UP may be permanently anchored to the floor or may be mobile with the addition of optional heavy duty casters.
